Cedar & Sage Mental Health – Controlled Substance Prescribing Statement
Cedar & Sage Mental Health may prescribe controlled substances (including stimulants for ADHD, anxiolytics, or other medications) only when clinically appropriate and after a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. Controlled substances are never guaranteed.
We follow all Washington State laws, federal laws, and professional guidelines related to controlled substance prescribing. This includes ongoing monitoring, periodic follow-up visits, and review of the Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP).
Controlled substances will not be prescribed if it is unsafe, clinically inappropriate, or if there is evidence of misuse or diversion. Patients must participate in recommended follow-up visits and comply with all treatment agreements.
