  • Cedar & Sage offers a wide range of holistic and evidence-based mental health services, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychiatric nutrition consults, mind-body stress reduction, psychoeducation, wellness coaching, and supportive therapy.

    We also offer emotional support animal (ESA) and psychiatric service dog letters when clinically appropriate. For eligible clients, we provide emotional support animal (ESA) and psychiatric service animal letters in compliance with HUD and ACAA guidelines.

    Our care combines traditional psychiatry with a trauma-informed, holistic approach.

    This includes in-person visits in Olympia as well as virtual telehealth appointments across Washington State.

    We also offer private pay options for services not covered by insurance, such as wellness coaching or certain evaluations.

  • Getting started is simple. You can request an appointment through our contact page. Once scheduled, you’ll receive intake forms and instructions to prepare for your first visit. Have questions before booking? We’re happy to help.

    • Wednesday & Thursday (Telehealth only): 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM

    • Friday (In-person, Olympia): 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM

    • Saturday (In-person, Olympia): 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

    We offer flexible appointment times to accommodate your schedule.

  • Cedar & Sage Mental Health proudly serves Olympia and the greater South Puget Sound region, including:

    We also provide telehealth care across the entire state of Washington.

    Please note: all clients must be seen in person at least once every 6 months to continue services, even if using telehealth.

  • Yes, when clinically appropriate. We offer:

    • Stimulant medications for ADHD

    • Short-term, low-dose benzodiazepines (when necessary)

    Clients prescribed controlled substances must sign and follow a Controlled Substance Treatment Agreement for ethical and safe prescribing. We prioritize safety, informed consent, and ongoing monitoring to ensure effective, responsible care.

  • We provide supportive therapy and brief psychotherapy alongside medication management. A limited number of clients may qualify for weekly therapy, and we are actively expanding this service. Our therapy model emphasizes emotional regulation, psychoeducation, and mind-body connection strategies.

    Many clients benefit from combining medication with emotional processing, lifestyle strategies, and psychoeducation—offered in a collaborative, compassionate setting.

  • Yes. In addition to psychiatric evaluations and prescriptions, we offer psychiatric nutrition consultations, mind-body support, and stress-reduction strategies. Our goal is to help you feel better both mentally and physically, using a whole-person lens that honors the connection between mood, body, environment, and lifestyle.

  • We offer both in-person care at our Olympia location and secure telehealth appointments throughout the state of Washington. You’re welcome to choose the format that works best for your schedule, comfort, and needs—and you can switch between formats at any time.

    **To ensure safe, high-quality care, all patients are required to attend at least one in-person visit every 6 months to continue receiving services—including medication refills via telehealth.

  • We provide psychiatric services for adolescents ages 11–18 and adults 18 and older. Whether you're seeking support for ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, PMDD, or sleep issues, our care is age-appropriate, trauma-informed, and tailored to your goals.

  • Your initial psychiatric evaluation in Olympia and via telehealth lasts 60 minutes and provides a comprehensive look at your symptoms, history, and goals. We will take your vitals, height and weight, and discuss health/ psychiatric history. Depending on age and complexity, a second 60-minute follow-up may be required. After that, we schedule a 30-minute follow-up to review your diagnosis, discuss treatment recommendations, and answer any questions you may have.

  • Yes. If clinically indicated, we provide evaluation and documentation for emotional support animals and psychiatric service dogs. Letters are written in accordance with federal guidelines (HUD and ACAA) and include appropriate clinical justification for housing and travel accommodations.
